The Story of Sadako Sasaki

Did you know that she died from leukemia she developed after the Hiroshima tragedy? Her famous story stars 1000 paper cranes, folded in the hopes of health and prosperity.

Did you know that one of her paper cranes is today part of an exhibit in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii? The owner of Erik’s Shimmering Origami went and visited her display at Pearl Harbor, and he recommends it to it all origami artists who are looking to further their interest in the art.
